Once upon a midnight dream,
I heard her singing in my sleep.
That beautiful song and sweet soft lips;
I could feel her presence in the moon’s eclipse.
Once upon a midnight dream,
I saw her dancing in my sleep.
The swings of her hips,
And her foot’s gentle skips,
Prancing around in the moon’s eclipse.
But when I awoke from this midnight dream,
I wanted to see her in my sleep.
As I turned around I saw her,
Next to my bedroom window waiting there.
Her apparition was just watching me,
Sitting in the moon’s eclipse.
I blinked my eyes, and she was gone,
No longer in my midnight dream.
No longer in my sleep,
No longer in the moon’s eclipse.
